GB созданный в 1997 г. на базе нескольких регулирующих органов независимый неправительственный орган, подотчетный Министерству финансов Великобритании; Управление осуществляет регулирование и контроль за финансово-инвестиционной деятельностью (включая кредитные услуги, инвестиции, страхование, срочные рынки, и пр.) в Великобритании в соответствии с Законом о финансовых услугах и рынках 2000 г. В его задачи входит создание условий для стабильной работы финансовых рынков страны, защита прав инвесторов и обеспечение прозрачности и организованного функционирования инвестиционных рынков
